Best Indian wedding e-invites in 2026

By Nimanto ·

The short answer

Most Indian wedding e-invites are a video or image sent on WhatsApp, made with WedMeGood, Canva or a studio, and none of those collect replies. If you want guests to RSVP to each function, from the haldi to the reception, choose an invitation with RSVP built in: Nimanto (animated, self-serve) or Invifest (a made-for-you website).

What should an Indian wedding e-invite include?

Every function with its own date, time and venue, both families’ names, a blessing or invocation, a map for each venue, and a way to reply. With hundreds of guests across several days, knowing who is coming to which function matters more than the look of the card.

  • The schedule: haldi, mehendi, sangeet, the muhurtham and the reception, in order.
  • The hosts: both families, often with grandparents named first.
  • A dress code per function, if there is one.
  • Where to stay, for guests travelling in.
  • RSVP per function, so caterers get a count for each.

Video invite or invitation with RSVP?

A video is easy to forward but cannot collect replies, so the counting is done by phone. An invitation with RSVP built in, such as Nimanto or Invifest, tells you who is coming to each function, how many they are bringing and what they eat.

Nimanto’s Indian wedding designs and sangeet and mehendi designs carry the full schedule and play as they open.

Questions people ask

Which is the best app for Indian wedding e-invites?

It depends on what you need. For a video to forward on WhatsApp, WedMeGood’s templates or Canva work well. For guests to reply to each function, use an invitation with RSVP built in: Nimanto, made by you in minutes, or Invifest, built for you in about three days.

Can guests RSVP to an Indian wedding invite on WhatsApp?

Yes, when the invitation is a link rather than a video. With Nimanto you send each guest their own link on WhatsApp; they open it, reply to each function and add how many are coming, and the answer lands in your guest list with their name.

How much does an Indian wedding e-invite cost?

From free to a few thousand rupees. Static cards on WedMeGood and many Canva templates are free, WedMeGood’s video templates start at ₹749, and Invifest’s website invites start at ₹2,499. Nimanto’s wedding designs are one price per invitation, whatever the number of guests.

Can one e-invite cover haldi, mehendi, sangeet and the wedding?

Yes. On Nimanto one invitation lists every function with its own time and venue, and guests say yes or no to each, so you get a separate count for the sangeet and the reception. You can also give a function its own reply if only some guests are invited.
