Ceremony, reception and everything guests ask about in one place: the venue on a map, hotels nearby, the registry and a reply card that takes plus-ones and dietary notes. Send it by e-mail or text and watch the replies arrive.
A short guide
On a formal invitation, spell out the day, date, year and time: “Saturday, the twelfth of June, two thousand twenty-seven, at half past four in the afternoon”. Avoid abbreviations and numerals. On a modern or casual invitation, numerals such as “June 12, 2027, 4:30 pm” are perfectly acceptable.
Address the invitation to the guest by name only, and set the reply card to the number of seats you are offering, such as “We have reserved one seat in your honour”. If someone asks, a kind, direct answer works best: the venue is small and you are keeping the list to people you know.
Address the invitation only to the adults who are invited, and add a gentle line elsewhere, such as “We love your little ones, but this will be an adults-only celebration”. Put it on the details page or reply card rather than the main invitation, and say it early so parents can arrange care.
It means the reception takes place straight after the ceremony at the same venue, so guests do not need a second address. If the reception is somewhere else, write the venue and time on a separate line or card instead, and give guests a sense of the gap between the two.
