Nimanto Help Center
How can we help?
Getting started
What is Nimanto?
Nimanto makes digital invitations that open like a real card: an animated envelope, your music, and a page guests scroll through on any phone, with nothing to install.
Each invitation also runs the event for you: replies with plus-ones and dietary notes land in your dashboard, reminders go out on time, guests add photos to a shared album, and you get a summary the morning after.
How do I create my first invitation?
Choose Create, pick what you are celebrating, then choose a design. The form asks only for the details that design shows: names, date and time, venue, and any extra pages it has.
The preview beside the form updates as you type, so you see the invitation exactly as guests will. When everything is filled in, create it; it stays a draft until you publish.
- Missing details are marked before the invitation is created, so no sample text goes out by mistake.
- You can change any word, colour or photo later in the editor.
What is the difference between free and premium designs?
Every occasion has free designs you can publish at no cost. Premium designs are marked on their tile; you pay once for that invitation when you publish it, unless your plan includes it. A design is priced by what it is: a Signature or a Card invitation, and Live (its cover plays a film) or Still. While the launch discount runs you see the full price struck through beside what you pay; wedding designs are charged their full price. A premium design you pay for also takes off the "Made with Nimanto" footer.
Browse everything in the catalogue and use Preview to watch a design play, envelope and effects included, before you choose.
What is Design Genie, the AI designer?
Can't find the one? Describe the occasion, your colours and the mood, and Design Genie, our AI designer, paints invitation designs in your look. Pick the one you like, ask for a change if you need one, then fill it in and send it like any other design.
It appears as a banner at the top of the catalogue and in the Templates menu while the feature is available. How many drafts you get, how many revisions and the price are shown on the brief page; some plans include it.
Designs & editing
How do I change the words, photos and colours?
Open the invitation from your dashboard and choose Edit. Tap any text to change it, replace any photo, and pick colours from the theme; every element on the phone-sized canvas can be moved or restyled.
Pages you do not need can be switched off, and a page of optional details disappears on its own when you leave it empty.
What if a name or an address is too long?
Type them as they should read. When a line runs longer than the design's sample, the lines under it move down to make room and the page grows, so nothing is printed over anything else.
How do I add or change the music?
Choose a track from the library of original instrumentals for every occasion, or upload your own MP3. Guests hear it once they open the envelope and can mute it with one tap.
What are envelope intros and effects?
The envelope is the first thing a guest sees: wax seals, petal bursts, curtains, gift boxes and more, each animated on tap. Effects such as falling petals, hearts, lights and sparkle play over the invitation.
Both can be changed or switched off in the editor. Some intros and effects are premium, like designs.
How do I see the invitation the way guests will?
The preview beside the form and in the editor is the real invitation, envelope and effects included. After publishing, open your link on your own phone to check it end to end.
Schedule & guest pages
How do I add functions to the schedule?
Designs with a schedule list each function with its name and time. A function without a date of its own is on the invitation's date, and every function is held at the venue from your basic details unless you tick "Different venue".
Several functions on one day become that day's programme with one reply from guests; tick "Separate RSVP" on the rare function guests choose separately.
What goes on the "Good to know" page?
Dress code, gifts, travel and parking, a hashtag and who to contact live on the "Good to know" page. It starts switched off; switch it on when you create the invitation and fill in only the lines you want. Lines left blank are left out.
How do I show guests where to stay?
Add hotels for out-of-town guests: each place gets a card with its address, the price, rooms held for your guests and a way to book. Leave it empty and the page stays out of the invitation.
How do I add gifts and a registry?
Write a line about gifts in your own words, then add each registry as a tile guests can tap. Leave it empty and the page stays out of the invitation.
Do guests get a map, a calendar entry and a countdown?
The venue's address becomes a map with directions, guests can add the event to their calendar in one tap, and designs with a countdown count down to your date and time.
Sending & guests
How do I publish my invitation?
When it looks right, choose Publish in your dashboard. Premium designs are paid for at this step unless your plan includes them. Once published, the invitation has its own link and you can start sending.
How do I send it on WhatsApp, by text or by email?
Every guest can get their own personal link, sent by email or text from Nimanto, or shared on WhatsApp from your phone. You can also share one link in a group chat.
- Personal links know who is replying, so their answer lands against their name.
- Whoever replies through a shared link joins your guest list.
- Text messages depend on your plan; see pricing.
How do I build my guest list?
Add guests one by one or import a CSV file from a spreadsheet or your contacts, and export the list to CSV at any time. The list shows who has been sent the invitation, who opened it and who replied.
Can I plan together with co-hosts?
Invite a partner, family member or planner as a collaborator on the invitation, so they can help manage guests and replies from their own account.
How do reminders work?
Two automatic reminders can go out before the event: one to guests who have not replied yet, and one the day before. Switch each on or off on the Guests page, and send a message of your own whenever you need to.
Can I change the date or venue after sending?
Edit the details in your dashboard and the invitation updates for everyone at once; the link stays the same. Let guests know with a message from the Guests page.
- A published invitation can change its date a few times for free; a premium design can buy another change after that.
- A postponement can move the date by up to a year. An event that has already taken place can't be moved or renamed: use Duplicate to start a new invitation from the same design.
RSVPs
What are guests asked when they reply?
Guests answer Yes, No or Maybe, and can add plus-ones, dietary notes and a message. With a schedule, they choose which days they will join. You decide in the RSVP settings which questions to ask and how many plus-ones a guest may bring.
Can I approve replies or keep a waitlist?
Turn on approvals to confirm each reply yourself before it counts, or set a capacity so replies after it join a waitlist that you can move people off as places open.
How do I track replies?
Every reply lands in the dashboard as it arrives, with totals for who is coming, plus-ones and dietary notes. You can be told of each new reply by email, and by text on plans that include it.
Can a guest change their reply?
Guests open their link again and change their answer; the dashboard updates straight away. You can also change a guest's reply for them from the Guests page.
Planner
Set up your planner
Open your invitation and choose Planner, the row under Overview. The first time, it asks a few short questions: what it already knows from your invitation (the occasion, the date, your functions and your guests) it never asks again.
- Pick the customs you follow, or none at all, and say roughly what you want to spend and who is paying.
- Press Build my plan. You see the whole plan before anything is saved: the tasks dated back from your day, the vendors to book, a budget split into lines and a timeline for each function. Every suggestion has a reason behind a small "?".
- Switch off anything you don't want, then press Save to my planner.
Where AI help is on, you can also build it with AI: it suggests what fits your customs from our library and says why. Nothing changes until you save. You can run Set up again at any time; what you added, edited or finished is kept.
Start planning before you pick a design
You don't need a design to start. On your dashboard choose Start with the planner, say what you are planning, give it a name and a date if you have one, and press Start planning.
This makes a draft invitation on a plain design, so your planner has a home. Nobody is contacted and nothing is published. When you are ready, press Pick a design: your planner, guests and schedule stay, and the words you typed carry over.
How due dates work when your date moves
Each task is dated back from your day, or from the function it belongs to: book the venue months ahead, send the timeline to vendors the week before. Next up shows the few things that need you this week.
- When you change the date of your invitation, every due date that hangs on it moves with it, and Next up tells you how many moved.
- When you move one function on your schedule, its own tasks move with it.
- Tasks you finished, and tasks you gave a fixed date, stay where they are.
- Starting late? Early tasks are spread over the coming weeks so they don't all land as late at once. Legal steps are never squeezed: they keep their real deadline.
Customs: how we use them and how to switch things off
The customs you pick shape the plan: which functions it suggests, the tasks for each, the local names of the vendors and the order of the day. Pick none and the plan stays simple; pick two for a wedding that brings two traditions together.
Customs vary by family, so every suggestion can be switched off, and the ones we haven't yet had checked by people who follow that custom are marked "Suggested · confirm with" the person to ask. You can add your own functions and tasks to any plan, and change your customs later in Planner settings.
Some date notes, such as a fast or a holy day near your date, are there to help you ask the right person. They never stop you choosing a date.
Your budget: totals, payments and who pays
Budget shows your total, what is planned, what is agreed, what is paid and what is left to pay. Set-up splits your total into lines the way similar celebrations usually spend it; change any line or add your own with Add a cost.
- Give a line its quote, then its payments: a deposit and a balance, three parts, or in full. Mark each one paid as you pay it.
- Paid by says who covers each cost: you, one side, both, or someone else.
- Viewers you add to the invitation don't see amounts unless the owner switches that on in Planner settings.
Nimanto never takes or sends money for your vendors: the budget is your record of what you agreed and paid. Download it as a spreadsheet or print it whenever you need to.
Vendors: quotes, files and e-mail
Vendors lists the kinds of help your plan suggests, each with the day it's usually booked by. Add the vendors you're talking to (caterer, florist, photographer and the rest) and move each from Ideas to Asked, Quoted and Booked.
- Keep their quote, contract, invoice or menu with them, as PDFs or pictures. Anyone who has a file's link can open it, so share those links with care.
- Write to them from the planner: copy the message or open WhatsApp, or send it by e-mail where e-mail to vendors is switched on. Replies come to your own inbox.
- A booked vendor can have a Day sheet of their own: their arrival and their part of the day, with no guests and no money on it.
Nimanto doesn't list, recommend or book vendors for you: the vendors in your planner are the ones you add.
Seating plans, sittings and hall options
Seating is on for celebrations with a seated meal; switch it on or off in Planner settings. Open a function and say how it's laid out: tables, long tables, sittings, family zones, rows facing the front, floor seating, or standing. The guests who said yes are the ones to seat.
- Add tables, then seat each party with Seat at…, or drag them on a computer. Keep together or keep apart rules guide Seat everyone for me.
- Sittings let guests eat in waves; you set how many sit at a time.
- Where a function seats people in two halls or sections, give each party its section, and split a party between them if you need to.
Your seating plan is for you and the people helping you: guests don't see it. Print a table list or a name list for the door.
The day's timeline and Day mode
On the day holds a timeline for each function: what happens when, who it's with and who it's for (everyone, your family, or your helpers). Use the usual order to start from our library's, or add your own rows.
- The times follow your function's start time on the invitation. If it starts later, use Shift times to move every row at once.
- Day mode shows the timeline in big type on your phone, with what's on now and what's next. If things run late, move the rest of the day with one press.
- People to call keeps the numbers you'll need on the day in one list.
Sharing a Day sheet with helpers and vendors
A Day sheet is a read-only page with the day's timeline that you share by link: no account and no app. The helpers' sheet has every function and People to call; a vendor's sheet has only their part of the day, with no guests and no money.
Copy the link from On the day and send it however you like. The sheet updates as your plans change. If a link reaches the wrong person, make a new one: the old one stops working.
Who can see your planner and its budget
Your planner is private to you and the people you add as collaborators on the invitation. Guests never see it: they see only your invitation.
- Editors can change the planner with you and be given tasks.
- Viewers can look but not change anything, and they don't see amounts unless the owner switches on Viewers can see the budget.
- Budget lines marked private, and Between families, are for the owner only.
Add or change collaborators under Collaborators on your invitation. Each person sees the latest version when they open or refresh the page.
Photo album
How does the photo album with a QR code work?
Every invitation can have a shared photo album. Print its QR code for the tables, and guests add photos from their own phones without an app. Everyone invited sees them, and hears when new ones land.
How do I hide or remove a photo from the album?
From the Photos page you can hide any photo, and guests can report one. A reported photo is hidden at once until you decide, and you can block an uploader from adding more.
What is the morning-after summary?
The day after your event you get an email with who came, who could not, how many photos were shared, and a word of thanks.
Plans & payments
How do Nimanto’s plans work?
Nimanto is free to start: design, publish and collect replies with unlimited guests on every plan. Most hosts pay once per celebration: a premium design or a wedding, bought for that invitation. Two plans are for hosts who celebrate often: the Nimanto Club includes every premium design except weddings, and Nimanto Pro includes every design (weddings and Design Genie designs when billed yearly), unlimited live invitations and a lower Event Hub fee. Current limits and prices are on the pricing page.
How do I pay for a premium design?
A premium design is paid once, for that invitation, when you publish it. If your plan includes the design, publishing costs nothing extra. Sales tax may be added at checkout where it applies.
How do I upgrade, downgrade or cancel?
Change your plan from your account at any time. An upgrade starts a new period straight away, with what was left of your old plan taken off its price; a downgrade or cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and your invitations stay live.
How do I use a promo code?
Enter a promo code at checkout. If a code does not apply, check the dates and the plan it is for, or contact us.
Account & privacy
How do I sign in?
Sign in with Google, with Apple, or with your email and a password. Use the same method each time so your invitations stay in one account.
Forgot your password? Choose "Forgot password?" on the log-in page, enter your email, and we send you a 6-digit code to set a new one. After 5 incorrect passwords in a row, signing in with a password pauses for 15 minutes; resetting your password lets you straight back in.
How do I stop emails from Nimanto?
Every email from an invitation has an unsubscribe link. A guest who unsubscribes stops getting messages sent through Nimanto; the invitation link itself keeps working for them.
What cookies and analytics does Nimanto use?
We only use analytics cookies if you choose "Accept all". Change your choice any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Read the privacy policy for the details.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your Nimanto account yourself in the Nimanto app, or ask us to do it for you.
- In the Nimanto app: open Account, tap Delete account and type DELETE to confirm. The account is deleted straight away.
- Without the app: write to hello@nimanto.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We delete it within 30 days and write back to confirm.
What is deleted: your account and sign-in, every invitation you host with its guest list, replies, messages and photo album, your contacts, saved designs, Design Genie briefs, reviews and notifications. Your published invitation links stop working, and a paid plan is cancelled at once, without a refund.
What is kept: invitations you helped host for someone else stay with their host. Records of payments you made are kept by our payment providers (Stripe and Razorpay) for as long as tax law requires. An email address that unsubscribed or bounced stays on our do-not-mail list, so it is never emailed again.
How do I contact Nimanto?
Can't find what you need? Send us a message from the contact page or write to hello@nimanto.com, and we will get back to you.
Still need a hand?
Send us a message and a person will write back.
